Porcelain Veneers

Thin custom shells that correct chips, gaps, and staining in one go. Available at our Kitchener, ON dental clinic.

About Service

Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They're the treatment of choice when several things bother you at once: a chip, a gap, uneven shapes, and staining that whitening won't shift, because a single treatment addresses all of it.

Each veneer is made specifically for your tooth and shaded to suit your face rather than to look artificially white. Done well, veneers are difficult to identify as anything other than natural teeth. Done badly, they're obvious, which is why the design stage matters as much as the fitting.

We'll start by talking through what you actually want to change. Sometimes veneers are the right answer; sometimes whitening or bonding achieves what you're after at a fraction of the cost, and where teeth are crooked rather than damaged, clear aligners may be the better route. Porcelain is stain-resistant and durable, but placing a veneer involves removing a thin layer of enamel, which doesn't grow back, so it's a decision worth making deliberately.

A note on cost

Veneers are cosmetic, so they aren't covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan and rarely by private insurance. We'll give you clear pricing before you commit, and an honest view on whether they're the right choice for you.
