Teeth Whitening

Coffee, tea, red wine, and simple everyday wear gradually dull your enamel. Professional whitening reverses that, and it does so far more effectively than anything available at the drugstore, because we can use stronger agents safely under supervision.

In-office whitening produces visible results in one appointment, typically several shades brighter. We protect your gums first, then apply the whitening gel in timed cycles. You'll see the difference before you leave the chair.

We also offer custom take-home trays, moulded to your teeth, for patients who prefer to whiten gradually at home. Some people combine both: an in-office session to get results quickly, then trays to maintain them. It's worth having a cleaning first, since whitening works better on teeth that are already free of surface build-up.

A note on cost and coverage

Whitening is a cosmetic treatment, which means it isn't covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan or by most private insurance. We'll always be upfront about pricing before you commit, and we'll tell you honestly whether whitening will actually achieve what you're hoping for: it doesn't lighten crowns, veneers, or fillings, so if those are visible at the front of your mouth we'll talk through your options.
