Dental Bridges

Fill the gap left by a missing tooth and restore your bite. Available at our Kitchener, ON dental clinic.

About Service

A bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring a replacement to the healthy teeth on either side of the gap. It restores your bite, stops the surrounding teeth drifting out of position, and fills the space with something that looks like the tooth you lost.

Compared with a dental implant, a bridge is quicker and less expensive. There's no healing period to wait through, typically two visits and you're done. The trade-off is that the supporting teeth need to be reshaped to hold the bridge, and unlike an implant it doesn't prevent the bone beneath the gap from receding.

Which option is better genuinely depends on your situation: the condition of the neighbouring teeth, how long the tooth has been missing, your timeline, and your budget. A partial denture is sometimes the better fit again. We'll lay out all of them honestly rather than steering you toward the most expensive one.

A note on coverage

Bridges are not covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan, unlike crowns and dentures, which are. Private insurance often does cover them, so it's worth checking your plan. We'll give you clear pricing either way before anything begins.
