Dental Fillings
Tooth-coloured fillings that repair cavities and blend invisibly with your smile. Available at our Kitchener, ON dental clinic.

About Service
A filling is the most common dental treatment there is, and for good reason: it stops a small cavity from becoming a big problem. Left alone, decay keeps spreading until it reaches the nerve, at which point you're looking at root canal treatment instead of a twenty-minute appointment.
We use composite fillings, which are tooth-coloured and bonded directly to the tooth. Unlike the silver amalgam fillings you may remember, composite is shaded to match your enamel, so once it's in place nobody can tell it's there. It also requires removing less of the healthy tooth.
Most fillings are done in a single visit. We numb the area, clear away the decay, and build the tooth back up in layers before shaping and polishing it to match your bite. You'll be eating normally the same day. Where too little healthy tooth remains to hold a filling, a crown is usually the better solution.
Catching cavities early
Cavities rarely hurt in their early stages, which is exactly why regular checkups matter: we find them while they're still small. Fillings are covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we bill directly for eligible patients.
