About Service
Dental emergencies don't schedule themselves. A tooth cracks on a Saturday, a filling comes out the night before a trip, or a dull ache turns into something you can't ignore. When that happens, call us at 519-208-9665. We keep room in the schedule for urgent cases and will get you seen as soon as we can.
Come in straight away for severe or worsening pain, a knocked-out or broken tooth, swelling in your face or gums, bleeding that won't stop, or a lost filling or crown leaving a tooth exposed. Swelling in particular shouldn't wait: it can indicate an infection that's spreading, and that often means root canal treatment is needed to save the tooth.
If a tooth has been knocked out completely, handle it by the crown rather than the root, keep it moist in milk or saliva, and get to us immediately. Reimplantation is sometimes possible, but the window is short. Where a tooth genuinely can't be saved, we'll talk you through removal and what comes next.
What to expect
Our first priority is getting you out of pain. From there we'll explain what's happened, what needs doing now, and what can reasonably wait, with clear costs before we proceed. Emergency treatment is covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan for eligible patients, with direct billing.
