Tooth Extractions

Gentle removal when a tooth can't be saved, with a plan for what comes next. Available at our Kitchener, ON dental clinic.

About Service

Removing a tooth is always our last option. We'd rather save it with a filling, a crown, or root canal treatment. But when decay or damage has gone too far, or an infection can't be resolved any other way, extraction is the right call, and delaying it usually makes things worse.

The procedure itself is more straightforward than most people expect. The area is thoroughly numbed, and you shouldn't feel pain during it. We'll talk you through what's happening as we go, and you'll leave with clear instructions for the days that follow.

Just as important is what happens afterwards. A gap left unaddressed lets neighbouring teeth drift, changes how your bite meets, and gradually causes bone in the jaw to recede. Before we remove anything, we'll discuss your replacement options: a bridge, a partial denture, or a dental implant, so you can plan rather than react.
